Eurosensibiliza2 for Inclusion
European Voluntary Service Project of the European Solidarity Corps Programme. This is a volunteer mobilisation project and we operate both as a sending and hosting organisation. Volunteering normally takes place over a period of 10-12 months. The activities we carry out as a host organisation are in these 3 areas:
- Mental Health
- Elderly
- Training and Employment
All volunteering activities have the same objective: to increase the quality of life of the most vulnerable people in our society in a face-to-face way, supported by volunteers.
Background
Fundación Rey Ardid has been managing the European Volunteer Programme within the organisation for more than 10 years, both as an organisation that sends volunteers to other European countries and as a host organisation, where we look after people from other European countries in our facilities.
If you are interested in participating in a project as a volunteer, do not hesitate to contact us and we will show you how to participate in one.
And if you are an organisation looking for volunteers, we can also provide you with people motivated and interested in enjoying these experiences.

Objectives
- Social and labour inclusion of the people who use the services of Fundación Rey Ardid.
- To train young volunteers in cross-cutting skills; to encourage cultural exchange, promote diversity, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights and give young volunteers the opportunity to express their social commitment.
- Raising awareness about the environment and the conservation of biodiversity in the services provided by Fundación Rey Ardid.
Outcomes
One of the most outstanding aspects of this project has been the improvement in the socialisation of the users. Through the activities carried out by the volunteers, they have been provided with a space conducive to establishing links and relationships with other people from different cultures and countries. This has contributed to strengthening their self-esteem and avoiding social isolation. By being in contact with people and organisations from other countries, the users have been able to get to know other realities and enrich their perspective on the world. This openness to new cultures and experiences has been fundamental in fostering their personal growth and promoting an attitude of tolerance and acceptance towards diversity, thereby promoting a sense of belonging to the European community. Through different programmed activities, we have sought to ensure the active participation of all users, regardless of their origin, age, gender or abilities. This has promoted greater equality of opportunity, allowing each individual to develop their skills and potential to the full.
