Training, inclusion and food transition in the cross-border area
The MICELIO Project is a European initiative that promotes training, social innovation and visibility of trades linked to the food transition in the cross-border territories of Catalonia, Aragon and Occitania.
What is the MICELIO Project?
The MICELIO Project aims to strengthen the training and visibility of trades related to the food transition , responding to the need to professionalize the agri-food sector and make it more attractive and accessible.
The initiative is aimed particularly at:
Youths
People in situations or at risk of social exclusion
People undergoing professional retraining
Students in educational stages
MICELIO is committed to a fair, inclusive and sustainable food transition , connecting training, territory and employment.
Project objectives
- To jointly diagnose the training needs of the agri-food sector in the cross-border territory.
- Consolidate a cross-border network specializing in training, agroecology and social inclusion.
- Design and develop cooperative training itineraries adapted to the new challenges of the food transition.
- Create shared educational resources and pedagogical tools.
How is the project being developed?
The MICELIO Project is implemented through a cross-border consortium made up of eight entities from Catalonia, Aragon and Occitania, which contribute complementary skills and extensive experience in:

This collaborative approach allows us to address the food transition from a comprehensive perspective, combining pedagogical innovation, scientific knowledge, and practices with social impact in the territory.
Partnership
The MICELIO Project consortium is led by Association Formation Insertion Développement Local (AFIDEL) as the lead entity, and includes the participation of:

This partnership brings together universities, social foundations, associations specializing in social agriculture and sustainable food, as well as territorial development structures.
Expected results
Among the main results of the MICELIO Project are:
Development of common pedagogical tools .
Implementation of introductory professional courses in trades related to the food transition.
Creation of food education materials adapted to different audiences.
Consolidation of a stable network of cross-border actors for the exchange of knowledge and the promotion of innovative practices.
These actions will contribute to improving the employability of the target groups and strengthening the social and economic resilience of the territory.
